Passionate Fashion Designer/Bartender/Adventurer & Backpacker
There hasn’t been much to write about over the past two weeks as I spent twelve hours a day in the studio. After meeting to implement the changes suggested to us during the presentation last week, it was time to bring our final drawings to life and make toiles for the garments we designed. The first few days were spent creating patterns so we could get the right proportions and make sure everything fits. It was a lot more challenging than I first thought, and we ended up having to make many adjustments and redesign many garments, which just added to the stress and pressure. After the patterns were made, we spent the rest of the week manufacturing the toiles, before adding detailing and accents to them. The best way to describe this is with pictures, so I’ll let them speak for themselves! Another two weeks filled with stress, when things keep going wrong it just puts us more behind schedule, and makes it harder to deal with the pressure.
